This lovely shawl showcases the twisting weave that the weavers of San Juan often employ. I can't figure out how they do it, but the combination of this weave with four flagrantly different colors simply works. Cuatro Caminos is a very busy way stop for chicken buses where four main roads come together. While passengers trade buses vendors hop on and off selling everything from tortillas to pencils. It's one of the few places Majo and I can find our very favorite treat plátanos - a salty fried snack of thinly sliced plantains. As delicious as this shawl is lovely!
